I must of course thank my wife Carol for all her help. She has put a lot of effort into today and not once let things get to her. Very few things upset my wife, and it makes me feel special to be one of them.

As anyone close to our family knows it’s been a rather chaotic year in planning for this wedding. I said to Margaret it was so dramatic Hollywood should make a film about it. “Who would you pick to play you?” she asked. “It’s got to be George Clooney hasn’t it?” I responded. I wish I hadn’t asked who she’d pick, because she said “Well if George Clooney’s playing you love, I’ll just play myself”.
